Ride to worship
|
We are entrusted with the wellbeing of the planet. Cycling is one way we can respond to this challenge.
By choosing to cycle to religious activities rather than drive we can minimise our individual contribution to climate change and its effects on the poor. We can also make a positive difference to our health, save money and enjoy relaxation and leisure time.
In an effort to introduce more people of faith to regular cycling ARRCC holds an annual Ride to Worship Week in October. The initiative is a fun opportunity for people of all cycling experience levels to leave the car in the garage and hop on a bike to get to religious activities.
Of course, we understand that not everybody is able to cycle. We encourage those who cannot to experiment with other forms of environmentally friendly travel like walking, catching the train and car sharing.
Ultimately, ARRCC would also like to see more people of faith cycling regularly throughout the year. This section of the website contains all the information and resources you need to take part in Ride to Worship Week, and to make cycling a part of your weekly routine or introduce another form of environmentally sustainable transport into regular activities.
