Signing petitions is an effective way for individuals and communities to lobby business and government to introduce environmentally friendly policies and practices.
You can have an impact as an individual or faith community by endorsing some of these ongoing petitions:
Interfaith Call to Action on Climate Change
The Call to Action was first introduced by the Climate Institute in 2007 and was signed by a group of Australian faith leaders.
You can demonstrate your moral commitment to addressing climate change by asking members of your faith community to sign the Interfaith Call to Action.
Once you have signed it, let ARRCC know and we can add your name to the list of signatories on our website. You can either post (contact page) or email (secretary) your signed copy to ARRCC. Why not send a copy to your federal and state or territory MPs and your local mayor and councillor. Invite them to come and see what your faith community is doing to curb climate change.

Please note: the original Call to Action has been slightly amended to reflect updates in climate science and climate campaigning concerns. A reference to turning greenhouse gas emissions around by 2010 is now included, as well as an interim emission reduction target by 2020.
Oxfam petition on strong climate action
Sign Oxfam's petition asking the Australian Government to stop delaying and take strong action on climate change.
Australian Youth Climate Coalition - Meet your member campaign
The Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) is putting young people in touch with their members to push for a price on pollution through its Meet Your Member campaign
