When people of faith speak with one voice, it’s powerful.
Every year ARRCC makes this happen - through the hard work and the inspiration of volunteers all over the country and with the support of donors. Without the funds employ professional Community Organisers, we would not be as strategic, coordinated or effective.
We can mobilise communities and put faith leaders in the room with the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, the Treasurer, the Climate Minister.
We can only do this because of the commitment of people like you! Please make a regular tax-deductible donation and you will be empowering us to do this vital work.
Making strong multi-faith advocacy happen
Through massive campaigns like Faiths 4 Climate Justice, ARRCC supporters across Australia work to end approvals of new coal and gas mining, to advocate for a funded and fair transition for workers, to support Aboriginal peoples’ struggles to protect Country, for Australia to pay its fair share of Climate Finance, and for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. All this has needed resourcing and coordination.
Unified statements by diverse senior faith leaders, such as this have only come out because of ARRCC.
All this attracts much media attention and, in turn, the attention of governments and the general public.
All this on quite a modest budget.
How your donations will help
Donations keep this work going and could potentially expand it.
We are campaigning hard in the lead-up to the coming Federal Election.
We advocate in a non-partisan way for people to vote for climate action.
We are engaging more and more faith communities and broadening the diversity of the movement, bringing in new people who other climate action advocates cannot easily reach.
We’d love to build a Youth Chapter of ARRCC and include young people who see themselves as spiritual seekers. We would love to organise for faith leaders to visit Ministers and MPs in Canberra more often.
Any donation makes a difference. Monthly donations especially are like gold. They provide a secure base from which to work and allow us to plan.
This fund-raiser achieved its goals of 15 new monthly donors and $10,000+ in one-off donations. But we really need many more supporters to provide financial support on a regular, ongoing basis.
