Meditation & prayers for COP29
Everyone is invited to join our upcoming silent meditation sessions dedicated to prayers and reflections for our Earth and in support of the UN Climate Conference.
Our Honoured Guest to share his reflection and to introduce us into silence is Bishop Hans Christiansen - Anglican Diocese of Perth.

Bishop Hans Christiansen
Hans a Spiritual Director and was a Secondary School Teacher of Philosophy and Religious Studies.
Hans has a keen interest in sharing the Christian faith with a broad audience, has a keen interest in sharing the Christian faith with a broad audience and has a long-standing interest in contemplative spirituality, pilgrimage walking, First Nations People and culture, interfaith dialogue and social and environmental justice,
Hans enjoys spending time in nature, travelling, music, literature, bike riding and walking.
- Theme: Prayers and Meditations for Our Earth and UN Climate Conference
- Reflection: A participant will offer a 3 - 5 minute reflection to guide us into silent prayers and meditations.
- Silent Meditation: 20 minutes of silent meditation, each according to their tradition.
- Conclusion: Participants who wish to depart after the meditation may do so. Those who want to stay for a brief conversation are welcome.
- Duration: We aim to conclude within 30 minutes.
- Date: Tuesdays from 6th August 2024 - We will then hold weekly sessions each and every Tuesday morning for the 14 Tuesdays up until the 5th November (the last Tuesday prior to the commencement of this year’s conference) which is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan from Monday Nov 11 – Friday Nov 22, 2024
