This is a meeting of the Political Engagement working group, the first for 2022! Starting early, with the coming election in mind.

This sub-group of GreenFaith/ARRCC in Melbourne has been placing pressure on Coalition MP’s Josh Frydenberg and Katie Allen. 

In the lead-up to the coming election, we plan to help impress on both major parties, especially the Coalition, that their electoral chances will only improve if they put forward strong climate policies. Some of their plans are:

• To get involved in vigils run by Lighter Footprints outside MPs’ offices in Kooyong, Higgins and Chisholm
  
  
• A delegation is being put together to meet the MP in Chisholm. If you live there please email Tejopala on [email protected]
  
  
• Help is needed contacting places of worship that have put banners up in the past, to ask them to put them up again for the election.
