ARRCC is part of a movement opposed to the opening of any new coal or gas mines, and a NSW alliance of organisations protesting harsh anti-protest laws. This World Environment Day event is to advocate for:

* no new coal and gas projects

* repeal of NSW legislation introducing new offences and far heavier penalties for protest

The organisers are under the banner, Sydney Climate Coalition which includes School Strike 4 Climate and Move Beyond Coal.
