1st National Conference 2020 "Environmental Crisis and Our Obligations to Act: Teachings from Islam and Abrahamic Faith Traditions"
Where: Centre for Interfaith and Cultural Dialogue (CICD), Griffith University

The conference is supported by the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC), the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC), the Islamic Council of Queensland (ICQ), CICD, and The Climate Reality Project, Australia & the Pacific. Currently, we have as confirmed speakers:
Professor Odeh Al-Jayyousi, author of the book, "Islam and Sustainable Development", from Bahrain
Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, author of "Green Deen"; Founder, Brooklyn Academy for Science and the Environment, USA
Anglican Priest and Chair of Angligreen, Fr Peter Moore, speaking from the perspective of Biblical scriptures
Lujayn Hawari, journalist
Imam Daud Batchelor on wasteful consumption, and a Climate Reality presentation
Mark Delaney, Christian author of "Low Carbon and Loving It" will lead a workshop exploring solutions and initiatives for addressing the emergency.
