Interfaith Yarns for Yes

Muslim Collective, Newtown Synagogue and members of the Christian community are hosting a First Nations-led yarning circle about the upcoming Voice to Parliament referendum. Have you heard about the referendum, but don't know much about it? Do you want to learn more about what it means to write "Yes" from the perspective of faith, spirituality and community? We invite you to attend and yarn with us. You'll come away with insight into the resilience of Aboriginal communities in the fight for equal rights, what it means to respect Country, and how our faiths have influenced the reasons we will be writing "Yes" in the referendum. We want to make this event as inclusive as we can, so that everyone has the opportunity to take part equally and respectfully. We particularly value individual lived experiences. Simple snacks provided. Cultural safety and accessibility suggestions are welcome and will be considered.
