The UN Conference of Parties (COP) is an annual meeting of countries to agree on actions to combat climate change. This year's summit, COP28, runs from December 1-5 in the United Arab Emirates. In an unprecedented action, clearly compelled by nations not acting urgently, Pope Francis will attend and address this world body.
