ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Love your neighbour Faith & climate change

Join us on Friday 5th April for our first evening of wine, cheese and good conversation for 2019!

This year we will kick off with an evening focused on climate change, the science and theological perspectives. We are really excited to have Dr Mick Pope joining us as our guest speaker.

Mick is a real modern polymath, with qualifications in meteorology, theoretical astrophysics, mathematics and theology (https://about.me/mick.pope)

He is the author of A Climate of Hope, A Climate of Justice, and All Things New: God's plan to renew our world.

The talk will focus on some of the ideas canvassed in his last two books - exploring questions like - what does it mean to love our "neighbour" in a warming world? And if the world is headed towards an ecological disaster, how can Christians imagine, or claim, that its God's plan to renew it?

** Old Bishopsbourne, St Francis College, Milton
** drinks, cheese and snacks from 6.30
** talk and conversation starting at 7pm and time for Q&A
** wrapping up around 8pm.

(A $5 contribution at the door towards costs is appreciated if you are waged).

Organised by the Social Responsibilities Committee of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland.
