ARRCC supporters will join with partner organisation, Market Forces, as they peacefully challenge the Macquarie Bank over their links with fracking in the NT's Beetaloo Basin. Will you join us?

Macquarie presents itself as a climate leader but, underneath their green veil, the bank is the major backer of gas companies hell-bent on fracking what could become Australia’s biggest gas development – the Beetaloo Basin. The fracking plans are passionately opposed by Traditional Owners and continue the long historical arc of colonisation. 

Market Forces is organising a bold, visual, noisy action (think flaring tower and a drill rig…) and we would all love to have as many people there as possible!

• Macquarie is the major funder of Beetaloo Energy and Tamboran Resources fracking Beetaloo,
• it is increasing its fossil fuel finance significantly,
• walked back its no-coal policy to allow funding for metallurgical coal miners,
• and is the only Australian bank to leave the Net Zero Banking Alliance.
