A Special General Meeting has had to be called, with a view to progressing ARRCC's application for Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status with the Australian Taxation Office. 

New legislation was passed in 2023 around how organisations are assessed for DGR. The ATO now deals with every application from whatever sector, rather than each sector having its own Government Department to make the assessment. 

The ATO requires some different wording in the ARRCC Constitution, although our fundamental purposes will remain the same.

Financial members are invited to assist with passing resolutions at the Special General Meeting to formalize the changes.

The meeting will necessarily be quite formal, but we look forward to seeing all who are able to make it.
