Mannie Gross, Co-President at the Leo Baeck Centre, has been following the issue of climate change in the scienti c literature and the media since the late 1980s, and in our rst session he will explain why he is comfortable to be described as a ‘skeptic’ and what moral questions concern him about the issues.
David Karoly, Professor of Atmospheric Science in the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Melbourne will be sharing his opinions and experience on these questions. Professor Karoly is a member of the Climate Change Authority, and an internationally recognised expert in climate change and climate variability. He was a Review Editor of the chapter ‘Australasia’ in the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report released in 2014.
