Prayers, Meditations for a successful COP31

All are invited to these on-going prayers and meditations initiated by Bishop Philip Huggins who is on the UN COP Interfaith Liaison Committee.

This year we have joined with Australia’s Religious Response to Climate Change, Brahma Kamaris Australia, Religions for Peace Asia (including its women’s committee) & Religions for Peace Australia. We will have prayers/ meditations from  Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Baha’ i, Jewish, Sikh etc  faith leaders  from Asia, Pacific and Australia

Please note Friday 2nd October is one hour earlier than times below as we start daylight saving in Australia on the 6th Nov

Pre-COP meeting hosted by Fiji alongside a Leaders' event hosted by Tuvalu in partnership with Australia, 5-8 October 2026.

Times: Gatherings to be held Fridays 2, 9,16, 23, 30 Oct & 6th Nov leading up to COP31, and run for 30 minutes each.

Then everyday (same time as Friday) Mon 9th to Fri 20th November throughout the COP

Prayers and Meditations from Different Faiths & Countries Format (30 mins total)

Welcome by Host from Brisbane 11 am AEST

Opening (5 mins): Guest introduces the silence / offers a reflection / holds a sacred space
Silent Meditation (20 mins):
Each according to their own tradition

Closing (5 mins, optional): Brief conversation for those who wish to stay
