FEN launch, Growing a Green Heart
Ten Ways Faith Groups Care for Biodiversity: Growing a Green Heart
Where: Coal Loader Sustainability Centre, 2 Balls Head Rd, Waverton
When: Friday 28 October, 1.45pm -3.30pm
The Faith Ecology Network is launching this visual resource developed with the creative talent of artist, Brenna Quinlan.
We know that the health and wellbeing of human life and the natural world are interconnected and interdependent. We also know from the recent State of the Environment report released by Minister Tanya Plibersek on July 21, that the state of Australia’s unique biodiversity is not well, but is continuing a downward spiral, along with ecosystems globally. It is time for faith communities to get involved.
Using a knowledge based, reflection-action process gathered across FEN interfaith ecological events in recent years, this is a change-making and FEN fundraising tool designed to enable growth in awareness, appreciation, and action for biodiversity care.
The afternoon will bring together diverse faith leaders and faith community members, environmental educators, First Nations people and members of Faith Ecology Networks. It will introduce this excellent resource and explore ways it will benefit participants. For those outside of Sydney and interstate, online participation will be available upon registration at www.trybooking.com/CCZNH
We look forward to your presence and participation in this interfaith ecological opportunity.
Yours Sincerely
Anne Lanyon,
Faith Ecology Network Co-ordinator
