Laudato Si - making it happen here and now
Last year the Pope issued a landmark document called 'Laudato Si' - in praise of the God of the creation of our marvellous green planet and indeed the universe. The Pope calls on all people of good will to facilitate the planet's sustainability. But what is most interesting about this document is that it critiques the destruction of the environment from a justice perspective and particularly from the position of the poor of the earth. Pope Francis claims they already suffer the disadvantage of climate change and environmental vandalism. To unpack this Neil and Thea will offer theological and spiritual insights as well as explore practical possibilities.
