Meredith Williams is an ordained minister in the Uniting Church in Australia, currently serving in a congregation in western Sydney.
A childhood spent exploring Kur-ringai National Park fostered a lifelong love and respect for the natural environment. In adult life Meredith has been a volunteer with the National Parks and Wildlife Service, and a participant in bush-care, waterways protection and 'Clean up Australia'.
Wonder and delight in God's good creation, and taking seriously the gospel call for justice and compassion for all people, particularly those most vulnerable, have led her to embrace eco-theology. Abhorrence at destructive human practices and unsustainable consumption has propelled her into climate activism. Now, climate justice is her way of life, its message pervades her ministry, and it is never far from her preaching and teaching.
