This is a parrallel event to Yeb Sano's pilgrimage to Paris. The local Walk for Water, however, is happening while the climate negotiations are happening, from the 30th of November till the 5th of December. We're walking from Sydney to Wollongong - about 15 kilometres a day. You can join us for a day...or more...

The walk is on during the Paris Conference (it begins the day after the Climate Demonstration in Sydney on the 29th). We are walking for the future climate of the world, focusing particularly on the preciousness of our water supply. Mining is often in direct competition with people, agriculture and other industries for scarce water. We no longer see this as OK.
