Care Through Crisis: Extreme Weather Impacts Report Launch

Register here.

The Uniting network’s newly launched Extreme Weather Impacts Report explores the impacts of extreme weather events on frontline workers across care and community services. Come along to hear about the ways heatwaves, floods, storms and fires are affecting care workers and the people the community sector supports.

“Fire and flood have affected me, my family, and my clients. It’s terrifying. Being a manager in these situations is very challenging, as you have to act quickly and make life-or-death decisions about how to support people.”

– Survey respondent.

The Extreme Weather Impacts Survey is a joint project of Uniting NSW.ACT and the UnitingCare Australia network. We collectively commissioned a study from Dr Rebecca Huntley at 89 Degrees East on the impact of extreme weather and climate change on care and services across our organisations.

This webinar is hosted by the Uniting NSW.ACT Advocacy Team.
