The most effective thing in promoting the petition isn't social media or QR codes. It's ordinary conversations between people of faith. One person asking another to sign a piece of paper. 

On Wednesday July 8, we'd love you to join us for a one-hour Zoom gathering as we take the next step together. We'll be sharing two things.

Firstly, we'll explain our plans for a major national campaign moment in early October, when we're hoping faith communities around Australia will stand together in public support of a Fossil Fuel Treaty. Conversations with a number of major places of worship are already underway, and we'll explain how we'll keep everyone updated as more details are confirmed over the coming weeks.

Secondly, and just as importantly, we'll spend time looking at the practical side of building this campaign. We'll share what we've learned about using paper sign-up sheets, explain why they have been so effective, and walk through exactly how to use them in your own faith community.
