Hunter ARRCC community organising skills workshop
ARRCC community organising skills workshop
People of faith and spirituality want to pass on to our children an environment which is still beautiful, safe and liveable. Would you like to be part of a team of people committed to bringing together people of faith in the Hunter/Newcastle area to work locally on action for a safe climate?
Hunter ARRCC invites you to an afternoon workshop with Thea Ormerod, a trained community organiser, retired social worker and ARRCC president. There will be lots of opportunity to practice skills, ask questions, share in groups, and to mingle informally.
When: Sunday, 25th February 1 pm to 5 pm – everyone is welcome for lunch at 12 noon in the Church Café before the workshop
Where: Hamilton Wesley Uniting Church Hall, 150 – 152 Beaumont St, Hamilton. 2303.
Entry by voluntary donation, $5 - $15 suggested

Note that we aim to create a safe space for all participants, and people from any spiritual tradition are very welcome. In our current context of war between Israel and Hamas impacting terribly on innocent civilians, we believe the issues are too sensitive for this workshop space. Participants can be rest assured that our focus will be exclusively on action for a safe climate.
