Complimenting his Christian faith commitment " to strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the face of the Earth", Bruce was on the ARRCC Committee from 2008 to 2014. Bruce is also a professional engineer specialised in energy management, and a lay assistant at St Mark's Anglican Church (South Hurstville) where he has championed and EcoChurch policy.
